Bingkai Karya-Awdella, the singer of the hit song “Tertawan Hati,” is back with her new original song “Setengah Mati” This pop ballad tells the story of someone who is still struggling to move on from a past relationship.
“This song is for those of you who are still stuck in the past. You’ll be able to move on eventually, but for now, just embrace all the feelings. My advice is to not love someone so much that it harms yourself,” Awdella said.
The 4-minute and 26-second song was written by Martinus Layardo and Clara Riva. It starts with the soft sounds of piano, and Awdella’s gentle voice beautifully captures the emotional lyrics of the song.
Before its official release today, a 30-second clip of the song was shared on TikTok. In less than a week, more than 300 video creations had already used the audio.
Awdella hopes that all music lovers in Indonesia will enjoy her work. “I hope this song can be a companion, a representation of feelings, and a place for you to share your stories,” she concluded.
