Bingkai Karya– Indonesian pop superstar Bunga Citra Lestari aka BCL celebrated her wedding anniversary with Tiko Aryawardhana by releasing “Memulai Kembali”. The song says, “I have long closed the door to my heart. Then you are present, greeting my world.” My incessant misgivings BCL said Memulai Kembali is a song of love and thankfulness for starting a new love journey with Tiko Aryawardhana after Ashraf Sinclair left.
“This song is really special for me, it’s not about dreams, it’s about mature love, loving imperfections, courage to open up, and an awareness that no matter what storms come, we can always start over,” stated BCL.
BCL trusted Ifa Fachir as producer and Dimas Wibisana as writer for Memulai kembali because their collaboration has been established for a long time and they already have good chemistry. In the song 12 years terindah and Harta Berharga (OST Keluarga Cemara), which received nomination appreciation and won the AMI Award, she wrote the lyrics with Ifa and young musician Rahmania Astrini.
About The Process
“For the initial process of this song, you could say that it has actually been quite a long time, even for the demo take has been done from before marriage, but we decided to process the production, arrangement, and recording on the anniversary by exploring a new sound, namely Pop Ballad music packaging and 90’s RnB vibes, because my previous song had no musical color like this.” In Memulai Kembali, she loves the line “Your imperfection makes me fall”. “Nobody is flawless, yet loving someone with their flaws is lovely. This is why this lyric feels deep and precious to me,” stated BCL.
With the release of Memulai Kembali, still in the atmosphere of BCL and her husband’s Wedding Anniversary, she hopes that this song can give anyone who listens to it a new good and positive meaning full of love, because it can be interpreted differently by each person after a love journey with various stories in it that ends at one point of choice of heart in a new sheet.
