Letting Go, Slowly and Softly: Regina Song on “Love Me Again”

Bingkai Karya – Singapore’s musical sweetheart Regina Song returns with the heart-wrenching new single ‘Love me again’.

Never one to shy away from vulnerability, Regina’s latest track is a devastatingly intimate and emotionally-charged love song that revolves around the themes of longing, regret and the cruel passage of time.

Written around the same emotionally turbulent period as her previous single ‘Fairy’, ‘Love me again’ revisits the haunting aftermath of Regina’s first love. While ‘Fairy’ is a feisty song that simmers with quiet anguish, ‘Love me again’ comes in with contrast, with emotions spilling over in grief and yearning.

The song captures a moment of clarity in the process of moving on, when initial anger fades off, leaving behind an aching wish to turn back time to what once was. The lingering melody of this track underscores the fragility of moving on from a relationship, inviting listeners to grief together, look back on good times fondly, and wonder about the possibilities that could have been.

Regina Song is a 21-year-old Singaporean artist who is among the most-streamed Singaporean artists on Spotify in 2024, with her single ‘the cutest pair’ gaining over 44 million streams since its release in June 2024.

The song has also appeared across many prestigious playlists over the past weeks, including charting top on Spotify’s “Viral 50 – Global” playlist. Currently, Regina Song has over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Regina Song was also selected as Spotify’s 2024 RADAR artist, and since releasing her popular debut album fangirl, she has played multiple shows in Singapore, as well as a sold-out Southeast Asia tour in January 2025 which took her across major cities in the region, including Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Manila.

Regina also took part in Wanderland Festival in March 2025, the largest music festival in the Philippines, and will next be at Indonesia’s LaLaLa Fest, an international music festival alongside the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Camila Cabello.
