Bingkai Karya – Every so often, an artist gives a song that makes you stop mid-scroll, not because it’s louder or flashier than the rest, but because it feels lived-in and authentic. eaJ’s new single, “put it on me”, is one of those rarely undeniable moments. From the first smoky, half-sung line, “I don’t mess with trouble, but for you, I might be down for it,” eaJ taps into a different kind of bravado: one rooted in loyalty, intimacy, and the kind of connection worth risking everything for. Over a simmering, beat-driven backdrop, he builds a ride-or-die manifesto that’s equal parts emotional refuge and romantic charge.

“Hoping that I’m someone’s safe place, even if it means stepping into the storm. I wanted it to feel like a late-night conversation you never want to hang up from,” eaJ shares. He continues, “’put it on me’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever released. It reminds me a lot of my earlier releases. It’s a song that feels fresh but still reminds me of early eaJ songs like ‘pacman’.”

The production is lean and minimal, each synth and percussive snap leaving space for eaJ’s vocals to breathe, restraint that amplifies its pull. Like Frank Ocean at his most unguarded or Prince when his songs come to life on stage, eaJ knows the power of what’s left unsaid. The hook, “put it on me”, lands less like a plea and more like a promise, one that lingers long after the final beat. Genre lines are blurring as he folds alternative pop, R&B, and indie into a sound that feels global yet deeply personal. As if it were made to play on the radio inside your bedroom, just for you.

His song remains both intimate and cinematic, equally suited for the midnight drive and the festival stage. With the new single “put it on me”, eaJ doesn’t just release a single, he extends an open hand. One that in today’s world, might be the most radical act of all.

About eaJ

Capturing listeners and gaining fans with his intimate lyrics and diverse sound, eaJ is an expert at transforming deep-seated feelings through his music. Coming from a vast international background, including his formative years raised in Buenos Aires before moving to Korea, Canada and finally California, eaJ always felt a little left out from the expectations of his peers and society at large. “It was really hard for me to make friends,” he states. However, immersing himself in music became a way for him to form friendships and delve into a world that interested him.

Previously performing in chart-topping Korean rock band, Day6, as lead guitarist and vocalist, eaJ embarked on international tours, performing live for more than half a decade. At the turn of 2020, eaJ began crafting his own music and set foot into solo territory, discovering and embracing his own identity as he forged a new path in his career. An open book when it comes to his mental health, eaJ has never been afraid to speak his mind and let fans know they’re not alone; whether that be through his music or through his interviews (Zach Sang, MTV).

eaJ has continued to build a dedicated fanbase across Asia, earning millions of streams and headlined a massively successful Asia tour in 2024 with sold-out shows across Manila, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok. Though based halfway across the globe, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan continue to dominate eaJ’s Top 10 Streaming Markets worldwide.

With plenty more musical releases and collaborations on the horizon, eaJ’s strengths lie in his ever-evolving explorations as an artist while simultaneously providing comfort in his consistently transparent and vulnerable lyrics.
