Bingkai Karya —The song tells the story of two people who once shared dreams together but eventually had to part ways due to circumstances beyond their control. Despite the separation, their love remains the most unforgettable chapter of their lives. “‘Cinta Terindah’ is about two people who dreamed together but had to let go. Even though they’re no longer together, that person will always be their most beautiful love,” Elma shared.
The song carries a personal touch for Elma, who once experienced a similar heartbreak ending a relationship because of differences in faith and a lack of parental approval. “I’ve been in that position before having to part ways even though the person was kind and had the potential for something serious. I know how it feels to lose someone who truly fits you,” she said.
In creating “Cinta Terindah”, Elma once again collaborated with the legendary Yovie Widianto, expressing both gratitude and excitement for the chance to explore a new vocal style. “This time, I learned to add a touch of Malay-inspired nuances and ornamentations to bring more depth to the song, following Mas Yovie’s direction,” Elma explained.
The production process went smoothly and came with pleasant surprises, one of them being the inclusion of an orchestra recorded in Budapest. “At first, I didn’t know there would be an orchestra in the song, so when I heard the final version, I was truly surprised and overjoyed,” she said. The production, including the music video, took around three to four months, involving many talented professionals in their fields.
“I’m so happy because everyone gave their best, and the result makes me even more excited to finally share this song with everyone,” Elma concluded enthusiastically. “Cinta Terindah” marks a new chapter in Elma Dae’s musical journey showcasing her emotional maturity and her heartfelt interpretation of love that doesn’t always end in togetherness.
