Canada Invited Taylor Swift To Stage Her Show In Vancouver

Taylor Swift, worldwide superstar, is having her show, The Eras Tour, after several years since her last show, reputation Stadium Tour. On July 5th, Swift announced the international dates for her Eras Tour. It is reported she is going to play her show in Latin America countries, UK Europe Countries, and other international dates, including Asia countries except for Canada.

Since this is her first show after the Covid-19 pandemic spread, The Eras Tour is one of the most awaited shows among all musicians or performers. So it’s not a strange thing if people all around the world are really excited to come to Swift’s show, since she is one of the biggest superstars in the world.

But apparently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared his response toward Swift’s announcement about The Eras Tour’s international date on Twitter.

He responded with his Twitter username @JustinTrudeau, referencing one of her hit songs, ‘Cruel Summer’, “It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.”

Not long after Prime Minister Trudeau’s response towards the international dates Taylor Swift has announced, BC MLA and Minister for Arts and Culture Laura Popham, added her response by replying Prime Minister Trudeau’s tweet. Popham officially invites Taylor Swift to perform her show in Vancouver, also promoting BC Place Stadium as the place she recommended Swift to play her show at.

Due to this situation of uncertainty whether Swift is going to hold her show in Canada or not, a lot of Canadians are facing a tough decision they have to make as soon as possible ; to buy tickets in American countries she has announced or patiently wait for the Canada date to be announced. These two options have their own risks, like spending a large amount of money if the Canadians buy American countries’ tickets, or losing the chance to watch The Eras Tour if the Canadians wait for another international dates.
