- Lato-lato has many names
Lato-lato has many names. In a number of areas in Indonesia, this object is also known as Katto-katto, Etek-etek, Nok-nok, and Toki-toki. While abroad, it is also referred to as Clackers, Click-clacks, Knockers, Ker-Bangers, and Clackers.
- Lato-lato was once made of glass
Initially, the material was made of tempered glass. But, glass was too fragile, making it easy to break. Therefore, the company replaced the material with rubber.
- Was viral in the 1990s
This is not the first time Indonesia has Lato-lato fever. In the 1990s, it was also a popular toy among children. the game are still in a generation with toys like tamagotchi and bouncy balls.

Although Lato-lato games are found in Indonesia, apparently this game first appeared in the 1960s and became popular in the 1970s in America as Clackers.
- Weapons in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
Lato-lato appears as a weapon in the anime Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. The character who uses the weapon is named Joseph Joestar. In episode 15 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency, it is combined with ripple.
