Angie Zelena has dropped her second single “Cinta Lelaki“. This time Angie challenged herself to write the song, resulting in a song about emotional resilience due to heartbreak.
“Cinta Lelaki” narrates about a woman who has become emotionally resilient due to past heartbreaks, leading to doubts and a lack of belief in men’s love. Angie Zelena admitted that the song was based on her experience.
“The song is inspired by my personal experiences. I’ve gone through phases of being skeptical of people who approached me because I’ve been through heartbreak several times.” she said.
The singer revealed that she created the song spontaneously in just 30 minutes. “The song was created spontaneously because I had to make it when asked to write my second single. Here, Mas Tintin helped me with the musical arrangement while I wrote the lyrics. Since some parts didn’t feel quite right, many lyrics were changed on the spot while recording in the studio.”

Furthermore, according to Angie, “Cinta Lelaki” carries a message she finds profound for her listeners. She emphasizes that it’s okay to feel tired, exhausted, doubtful, and question love. The young singer hoped that Indonesian music enthusiasts would receive “Cinta Lelaki” positively.
