Bingkai Karya – At the heart of Korea Youth Summit 2025, organized by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB), was a celebration not just of leadership, but of collective effort and multicultural collaboration. This year’s Best Group Award was presented to Group 1, whose outstanding teamwork and shared vision shone through in every session of the summit.
A Team United by Purpose
Group 1 brought together participants from different countries and backgrounds:

Their winning presentation focused on “Celebrating Cultural Diversity in Community Design”, drawing inspiration from SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Through thoughtful research and creative planning, the group tackled a real-world challenge: how urban spaces often exclude the everyday cultural experiences of local residents.
They proposed an inclusive design framework that:
- Activates underused public areas with flexible, youth-led programming
- Empowers communities through microgrants and local teams
- Creates safe, informal zones for creativity, emotional wellbeing, and social inclusion
- Integrates eco-friendly efforts like ecobrick benches and upcycling initiatives
- Prioritizes accessibility with ramps, sensory zones, and multilingual participation
Their vision was clear: public spaces should not just look diverse, they should feel inclusive and lived-in, a reflection of the real people who call the city home.
Why Group 1 Stood Out
The jury praised Group 1 for:
- Excellent group synergy across all activities
- Balanced participation without overpowering voices
- Respectful integration of diverse cultural and social perspectives
- High-quality group presentation aligned with the summit’s core themes
- A powerful message about youth agency in urban innovation
Learning Beyond Borders
Through their collaboration, Group 1 exemplified how global youth can come together to co-design sustainable, welcoming spaces that encourage belonging and expression. Their presentation reminded everyone that culture doesn’t just need to be preserved, it needs to be participated in.
Their message was clear:
“Belonging doesn’t just happen, it’s designed together.”

In a summit that brought together youth from 15 countries, Group 1 showed that when diverse minds work with mutual respect and purpose, extraordinary ideas are born. Their win is a reminder that true leadership is often built on collaboration, not competition.
