MIKA teams up with BTS member SUGA’s band members for his first ever live performance video, with new song ‘so I don’t forget’

Bingkai Karya MIKA, a pop singer and fashion icon with a soaring career in Asia, has released a live performance video for his song ‘so I don’t forget’, made available on YouTube on Tuesday, March 12. Born and raised in Hawaii, MIKA debuted in Japan as a member of the boyband INTERSECTION,  and in 2021 he participated in China’s hugely popular audition show ‘CHUANG2021’.  As a result, MIKA was selected as a main member of the boyband INTO1, who then made their debut in China. He began his full-fledged solo career in December 2023 with the release of his digital EP ‘bleached’.

Now, the live performance video for his latest track ‘so I don’t forget’ is available on YouTube.

The video was shot in South Korea, with MIKA backed by the same band members who accompanied SUGA from BTS on his 2023 world tour.  The video echoes the song’s bittersweet tone and worldview, with a mellow vibe that matches MIKA’s characteristic “silky voice”, performed as only a full live band can. MIKA is currently on a fan-meeting tour of five cities in China.  He has also announced his first ever solo fan meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, as he continues to expand his activities across the globe.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, MIKA began his music career in 2016.

After moving to Tokyo, he joined the boyband INTERSECTION.  The group debuted in 2018, and in 2019 they released their self-titled first album; cowritten by the group’s members, the songs on the album combined sounds from East and West.

Participating in China’s mega-hit audition program ‘CHUANG2021’ in 2021,

MIKA performed covers of ‘So Sick’ by Ne-Yo, ‘Unbreakable Love’ by Eric Chou and ‘Push No.5 For Cute In Input Method’,

blazing into the Chinese music scene with his beautiful “silky voice”.

His version of ‘Push No.5 For Cute In Input Method’ has been played over 880 million times, ranking on all of China’s top charts.

In the finale of ‘CHUANG2021’, MIKA was selected as a main member of the boyband INTO1,

who debuted in China and have now released four albums in Chinese and English.

INTO1’s activity was limited to two years, and during that time MIKA also released solo covers and singles such as ‘Beautiful’, reaching No.1 on multiple charts.

After five years of experience in various countries and two boybands, MIKA finally made his official debut as a solo artist in 2023.
