Bingkai Karya – Since the release of her 2023 album Untuk Dunia, Cinta, dan Kotornya, Nadin Amizah has continuously explored new avenues of expression through her body of work, allowing her listeners to experience her artistry beyond sound alone. The journey of the album did not end with its audio release. It has since expanded into the audiovisual realm, producing three distinctive music videos, each carrying its own emotional depth and narrative.
Following the remarkable success of “Ah”, which has been streamed over 29 million times on Spotify, today Nadin’s independent label Sorai presents a new perspective of the song through a playful yet tender music video. This marks the first time Nadin embraces lighthearted comedy in her visuals, while still maintaining her signature storytelling rooted in everyday life and layered with complex emotions. The video is expected to not only entertain but also leave a lasting emotional impression on viewers.
“Every song I write has a visual story in my head, and ‘Ah’ is no exception,” Nadin shares. The song itself tells a story of discovering love without shedding tears. In collaboration with director Bernardus Raka, the two created a piece that feels refreshing and light while staying deeply connected to emotion. The video affirms both artists’ sensitivity and artistic perspective.
Written by Nadin herself, the narrative follows Danu, a young boy living with his mother on the outskirts of Jakarta. After his father’s passing, Danu’s mother often tries to fill the void in her heart through various dates. However, most end in disappointment rather than happiness. Tired of seeing his mother heartbroken, Danu compiles a list of local men he hopes could replace the figure of a father. One by one, names are crossed off, leaving no one who could bring the laughter they longed for. Until, unexpectedly, someone outside the list appears. Humble, unassuming, yet capable of warming the mother’s heart and bringing a subtle smile to her face.
The “Ah” music video will officially premiere on September 26, 2025, on Nadin Amizah’s personal YouTube channel. Prior to its premiere, a special Live Redirect session will be held, allowing Nadin to connect with her listeners in a more personal way. This project completes the visual journey of Untuk Dunia, Cinta, dan Kotornya, showcasing a new side of Nadin that is playful, refreshing, and deeply emotional, hallmarks of her artistry.
