The HAKA is a traditional ceremonial dance or challenge from the Māori people of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Though widely recognized as a war dance, the HAKA holds much broader meaning. It is performed to honor guests, celebrate achievements, and express unity, identity, and emotion.
With synchronized movements, fierce expressions, and rhythmic chanting, the HAKA represents:
