Payung Teduh finally decided to reunite with Is (the vocalist/guitarist) under the new name “Parade Hujan”. With this new name, they released their new single titled “Datang”.
It started with a direct request by David Karto (Demajors/Synchronize) who offered Payung Teduh and Is (Pusakata) a reunion at the annual Synchronize Festival music festival in 2022 yesterday. The sense of longing is a strong reason for Is (vocals/guitar) to return to play music with Comi (bass), Cito (drums) and Ivan (guitalele/trumpet).This event is a symbol of celebration, implying that friendship is more important than anything else that is held together by the force of music.
The name “Parade Hujan” was inspired by this celebration. Which enhances the deeper and philosophical meaning of the name “Parade Hujan”. Rain is considered a blessing, therefore the term “Parade Hujan” is interpreted as “parade of blessings.”
“Parade Hujan” is now attempting to make a name for themselves with their first single, “Datang,” a song that debuted on the stage at Synchronise Fest 2023. The electronic instruments dominate the song, but it retains a powerful pop feel. It ties this rhythm and generates music that sounds fresher with the chant and variety of Is’ voice notes. Along with the return of Comi, Cito, Ivan, and Is, the song’s theme is also about the desire to work together again after their separation.

Is wrote “Datang” after meeting Comi, Cito, and Ivan for the first time after nearly five years apart. Is instantly poured his heart and soul into the lyrics and this song.
