Bingkai Karya – Legendary alternative rock band Yellowcard officially returns with their first full length album in nearly a decade, “Better Days.” Marking a major milestone in their career, the album opens with the lead single and title track “Better Days,” which recently hit #1 on the Alternative Radio chart. Their first time reaching the top position in 22 years, making it the longest gap to achieve a No. 1 in the format.
Produced executively by Travis Barker (Blink-182), who also performed drums across the entire album, “Better Days” reflects themes of gratitude, forgiveness, and rediscovery. The project captures Yellowcard’s renewed sense of purpose while showcasing a sound that feels more alive and intentional than ever. The band’s classic lineup William Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman returns with a tighter and more unified dynamic.
One of the standout tracks, “You Broke Me Too,” features Avril Lavigne.
“Travis Barker called and told me he was producing Yellowcard’s new album. When he played the song, I immediately loved it. It felt like an anthem for anyone trying to find hope after heartbreak,” Avril shared.
Frontman Ryan Key adds, “Working with Avril was unbelievable. Her voice blends perfectly with Yellowcard’s classic sound, it feels like stepping into a time machine.”
During the making of “Better Days,” Yellowcard committed to releasing a new album only if they believed it would be the strongest body of work in their career. The band slowed their process, opened themselves to new collaborations, and brought in Nick Long for songwriting sessions, an essential turning point that eventually led them to collaborate with Travis Barker.
“Sometimes the world has a unique way of aligning the unexpected,” Barker said. “The magic was instant the moment we stepped into the studio.” The album also features Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio) on the track “Love Letters Lost.” “Better Days,” which Yellowcard describes as their best album to date, is now available on all digital platforms, along with exclusive merchandise bundles via Better Noise Music’s official store.
