Singaporean Singer rhyu Returns with Dreamy New Single, “But does my love make you feel?”

This song takes a fresh look at love, focusing on hoping that your affection is enough for your partner. With its fairy-tale-like string arrangements, light and airy vocals, also dreamy lyrics, it feels like floating on a cloud of love.

rhyu, whose full name is Raine Hahn Yu, has been making music since she was just 4 years old. rhyu’s songs are pieces of memories and emotions brought to life. She always hopes that her song could bring joy and comfort to her listeners, just as the music brings comfort to her.

At just 19, rhyu has already made a big splash in Singapore’s music scene. Her deep, raspy voice is often compared to Icelandic singer Laufey. Even Laufey herself has noticed rhyu’s work on TikTok, where she shares both covers and original songs. Rhyu started releasing music two years ago. Her hit single “It’s Fine” has already earned over 1.6 million streams on Spotify, where she has more than 62,000 monthly listeners.

In 2023, rhyu performed at the famous Esplanade Theatres by the Bay in Singapore and opened for the Taiwanese band Cicada during their Singapore show. She’s also part of the New Mongrels, a group of emerging Singaporean artists. Later this year, she’ll be performing at the first-ever Tongtong Fest in Kuala Lumpur.
