Arash Buana Marks a Milestone with His New Album “life update”

Arash Buana

Bingkai Karya-At just 21 years old, singer-songwriter Arash Buana starts a new chapter in his life. After releasing three singles “I Really Do Love Her <3,” “Friends,” and “Take Me Home,” Arash has officially launched his second full-length album, titled “life update.” The album features 11 tracks, with “Hey, I’m Tired” chosen as the main song.

Arash describes the creation of “Hey, I’m Tired” as a remarkable experience. Although he took a four-month break from its production, he feels this was the perfect moment to share his story.

“This track is one of the best I’ve ever made in my music career. It’s about my girlfriend. But here’s a fun fact: I wrote this song before we started dating. So, the stories in the song are fictional. Surprisingly, what I wrote in the song has come to reflect my current life,” Arash shared.

Arash wasn’t overly concerned about the order of tracks on this album. He views his music as an evolving journey, preferring to let things flow naturally and discover more about himself along the way.

“One thing I know for sure is that the track list reflects who I am as a person. Creating ‘life update’ is my way of figuring out who I am,” Arash explained about the album as a whole.

In terms of the album’s arrangements, Arash opted for a low-frequency approach, noting a distinct shift from his previous work. He now appreciates his own creations more and feels a strong connection to the results.

Self Acceptance Journey

The lyrics Arash writes are straightforward and aimed at a broad audience. He sees the release of this album as a valuable moment and hopes the songs will resonate with listeners going through similar life stages.

“This time, my songwriting is very sentimental and delves deeply into psychological themes. There’s a lot about trauma, early career challenges, and acceptance. I’ve always felt like I had to do things for others rather than for myself. For the first time, after coming to terms with my situation and who I am, I feel relieved and proud of the songs I’ve written,” Arash said.

The production of “life update” involved collaborations with musicians like Farrel Cahyono, Petra Sihombing, Rendy Pandugo, and Will Mara. Farrel, who worked on six tracks over the past 6-7 months, praised Arash’s clarity and vision.

“This album is incredibly exploratory. I believe it’s a breakthrough for Arash Buana. Even for me as a producer, it’s been an exciting project. I hope listeners are just as satisfied with the final result,” Farrel concluded.
