Coldplay Brings Singapore to Life in ‘Man in The Moon’ MV . A Magical Dance on Water

Bingkai KaryaColdplay has released the official video for their latest song, Man in The Moon, from Moon Music (Full Moon Edition)—the expanded version of their latest international number-one album, Moon Music. Man in The Moon is one of three additional original tracks included in this special edition.

Coldplay shared, “While we were in Singapore, we filmed the video and captured some of the incredible, young, and passionate people we met. We wanted to shoot something in a place we had never filmed before and involve the local community as much as possible. It was such a joy to throw a dance party in the middle of the water, just us and lots of otters.”

Set against Singapore’s unique cityscape, the official video highlights both iconic and hidden locations across the country, from the dazzling Marina Bay to the historic Fort Canning Park and its vibrant districts.

The Man in The Moon video features young individuals from diverse backgrounds, represented by Singaporean talents—from bold cosplayers to creative visionaries. Singapore’s multicultural environment provides the perfect backdrop, bringing together people from different backgrounds and stories, embodying the song’s themes of unity and shared experiences that transcend personal differences. In the final scene, the youth gather at Marina Bay, joining Coldplay on a specially built floating stage to sing the song’s chorus together.

This new official video is directed by Ben Mor, known for his work on Coldplay’s Hymn for The Weekend video. The film was created in partnership with Warner Music Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board.

The filming of Man in The Moon took place in January 2024, during Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour stop in Singapore. To celebrate the release of Moon Music, an exclusive Coldplay fan party was held in Singapore on February 5, 2025, at the newly renovated SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands, where the official video was premiered.
