Che’Nelle Returns with “Everybody”: A Song for the Lonely, A Message for Us All

Bingkai Karya – Internationally acclaimed artist Che’Nelle has just released her long-awaited new single, “Everybody”, marking her first release in 1 year and 3 months. The track is a heartfelt reflection of Che’Nelle’s personal journey through loneliness, self-discovery, and resilience, with the singer herself penning both the lyrics and the music. This empowering mid-tempo pop song is also featured as the official tie-up track for Mitsui Home’s latest commercial campaign.

“You know sometimes we think we’re alone in this world. But we got each other” – these words encapsulate the emotional core of “Everybody”. Written and composed by Che’Nelle herself, the song reflects her personal journey – from debuting in the U.S. in 2007 to relocating to Japan. She recalls feeling isolated when she first arrived in Japan, not knowing anyone and unable to speak the language. But through those challenges, she eventually built a strong connection with her Japanese fans.

With the exploration of the universal feeling of isolation that many face in life, the song highlights how, even in our darkest moments, we have the strength to overcome loneliness. Through personal experiences in both her work and private life, Che’Nelle brings to life a powerful message of hope: that the journey of self-discovery is one that everyone faces, and though loneliness and pain are inevitable, they can be conquered.

Che’Nelle elaborates on the song’s meaning, saying: “Life is a journey of discovering who you are. Along the way, you face loneliness and pain. But the moment you get through it, you find yourself loving who you are even more. This song is an encouragement for everyone who is on their own journey of self-discovery. It’s about being kind, patient, and understanding with yourself and others.”

The music video features scenes from Mitsui Home’s short drama series “The Kameyama couple want to order”, which beautifully intertwines with the song’s message, enhancing the emotional depth of the track through a heartfelt visual collaboration.

“Everybody” follows Che’Nelle’s recent collaboration with Drax Project on the track “Woke Up Late”, released on 25 April.

Che’Nelle continues to captivate audiences worldwide with her distinctive voice, heartfelt songwriting, and ability to connect on a deeply emotional level. Whether through her solo work or her collaborations with artists across genres, Che’Nelle’s music always resonates with themes of hope, love, and the shared human experience.
