Amanda Caesa Releases New Single “Trouble” , Wrapped in Bossa Nova Jazz Pop

Bingkai Karya – Singer songwriter Amanda Caesa is ready to release her latest single this September. “This song, titled Trouble, tells the story of someone trapped in a toxic relationship, an unbalanced obsession with their partner but who finds it hard to break free due to an inner struggle between the mind that wants to let go and the heart that still holds on,” Amanda explained. According to the soloist, who was born on December 23, the inspiration for “Trouble” came from her own experiences and the world around her. She admits that she has been through the same phase and believes she is not the only one to experience it.

The creative process behind “Trouble” was carried out together with Syahravi Dewanda. The two wrote the song in just a one day workshop that started with a casual jamming session. Bossa nova was chosen as the genre because Amanda wanted to explore music that would suit the character of her voice. “It was perfect timing, because at that moment I was really into Laufey’s songs and admired the way she conveys emotions through simple yet deeply meaningful lyrics. That made me want to try something more experimental, but still personal,” she added.

Different from her previous releases, the admirer of local musicians Sal Priadi and Teddy Adhitya shows a more vulnerable side through “Trouble.” In addition to the personal and honest lyrics, Amanda also experiments with a new blend of genres, bossa nova, jazz, and pop which she feels can better convey the emotions and story of the song. “I’m really happy that I got to explore this style of music. But because I’m quite indecisive and very curious, I won’t rule out the possibility of trying other genres too. Still, it comes back to the listeners, if this genre is well received, I’ll pursue it further.”

“Trouble” also marks a new chapter for Amanda after officially joining Sony Music Indonesia, where she has received strong support from a professional team in her career journey. “I can say this is a very meaningful step in my music career. With the support of Sony Music, I can be more productive, expand my reach to listeners, and open up opportunities to collaborate with other great musicians,” said the singer, who is also skilled in playing both guitar and piano.

Through her new single, Amanda hopes more people will get to know her work, while also feeling an emotional connection and curiosity about what she will bring next. “For me, “Trouble” is like a teaser or introduction to my upcoming releases, which will certainly bring new colors while staying consistent with my character as a musician. And through this single, I also want to send a message that being in a one sided relationship can be very draining. I want to bring together people who have been or are currently in this phase, to listen to my song and realize together that what hurts us is actually trouble,” she concluded.
