Bingkai Karya – Prince Husein returns with a new single titled “Internet Bilang Aku ADHD”. Through this release, he begins a new chapter as an ‘emo storyteller’, an identity rooted in his deep interest in emotionally rich storytelling.
“Basically, I love films, I love novels, I love comics, and I’ve always been drawn to anything story-based, especially the ones with the right amount of emotional depth. Because those kinds of stories can change someone’s life, including mine. So now, I want to be someone who tells those kinds of stories,” Prince shared.
This identity is paired with another side he calls ‘nerdy expressive’, reflecting a personality that isn’t singular, but instead thrives in contradiction. “I think someone is authentic not because they’re just one thing, but because they are many things at once. In my case, being nerdy and expressive in how I communicate is just one part of who I am,” he explained.
Through “Internet Bilang Aku ADHD”, Prince delivers a deeply personal piece, weaving together his recent experiences, emotions, and reflections. The song follows a free-flowing stream of thoughts, full of emotional shifts, and serves as a satirical take on the rise of self-diagnosis in the digital era.
“Nowadays, a lot of people claim they have ADHD just based on internet analysis, so I tried to satirize that. I say I’m ADHD simply because the internet says so, even though that’s not necessarily true,” he said.
Thematically, the song explores chaos, overthinking, and inner conflict, topics that are often considered taboo. Instead of avoiding them, Prince invites listeners to confront and accept these realities fully.
“We live in reality, and reality isn’t always happy. I think it’s healthy for us to release negative emotions once in a while. But this isn’t about using it as an excuse to drown in sadness, it’s more about accepting reality and pushing back against denial,” he continued.
Interestingly, the darker lyrical themes are wrapped in a more upbeat and playful music approach. This contrast reflects Prince’s perspective on life.
“I believe we can accept dark realities, but still live through them in a way that isn’t always serious. Taking the power out of the pain and becoming power itself.”
As the starting point of this new phase, “Internet Bilang Aku ADHD” is more than just a single, it lays the foundation for Prince Husein’s future musical and narrative direction. He emphasizes that his upcoming works will continue to stem from real-life experiences, told emotionally and grounded in honesty.
“Moving forward, I’ll make sure every song I release is something I genuinely like. Introduced by reality, told emotionally, supported by honesty, and elevated through distortion.”
