Bingkai Karya – On May 19, the music video “Kopi Dangdut ~ver. Goyang HEPIKA~” has officially been released as a collaboration between renowned dangdut singer Happy Asmara, famously known as “The Queen of Ambyar,” and Pikachu from The Pokémon Company. The music video is now available on Happy Asmara’s official YouTube channel, while the song can also be streamed across various digital music platforms.
This marks the very first collaboration between Pokémon and dangdut, a music genre deeply loved by people throughout Indonesia. Through catchy dangdut rhythms that everyone can sing and dance to regardless of age or background, Pikachu and Happy Asmara aim to spread happiness across the country.
The original song “Kopi Dangdut,” a legendary masterpiece by Fahmi Shahab loved by generations worldwide, has now been reborn with a fresh arrangement by Tyo Adrian. Blending classic and modern dangdut elements, the new version delivers nostalgic vibes while remaining trendy and enjoyable even for listeners who are not regular dangdut fans.
“HEPIKA” combines the word “Happy” from Happy Asmara and “Pika,” Pikachu’s iconic sound, creating a special keyword meant to spread happiness to everyone. In the music video, don’t miss the joyful dance performances by Happy, Pikachu, and their friends as they celebrate the energetic HEPIKA movement.
A dance tutorial for “Goyang HEPIKA” is also scheduled to be released soon on Happy Asmara’s TikTok account. Through people dancing joyfully and sharing the trend on social media, the HEPIKA movement is expected to spread throughout Indonesia using the hashtag #HEPIKA.
Happy Asmara shared her excitement regarding the collaboration:
“This collaboration is truly special to me. I have performed ‘Kopi Dangdut’ before, but ‘Kopi Dangdut ~ver. Goyang HEPIKA~’ brings a refreshing new charm by combining nostalgic elements with a modern atmosphere. I believe this song can be enjoyed by people of all generations. I hope this song can bring happiness to everyone who watches and listens to it. And just like Pikachu always brings smiles and joy, I would be very happy if this song could also bring smiles to all of you. Let’s dance together!”
The Pokémon Company also shared a message for the Indonesian community:
“For years, we have carried out various initiatives hoping that people in Indonesia could enjoy Pokémon even more. This time, we are presenting something entirely new: a collaboration between Pokémon and dangdut, an extraordinary music culture deeply rooted in the hearts and everyday lives of Indonesians.
We are delighted to welcome dangdut superstar Happy Asmara into this project. The combination of her powerful vocals and the joyful world of Pokémon has created a new work that inspires everyone, from children to adults, to dance together.
Through this music video, we hope Indonesians can feel even closer to Pokémon. We also hope this song becomes an opportunity for Happy Asmara fans and dangdut lovers to get to know the Pokémon world more deeply.”
The collaboration will continue beyond the music video. Happy Asmara is confirmed to make her voice acting debut in the latest Pokémon animated series, Pokémon Horizons: Season 3, scheduled to air in 2026.
The series will premiere on MentariTV starting May 30 and will later be available for free on Pokémon Indonesia’s official YouTube channel beginning June 5.
To celebrate the collaboration, a special “Happy BARENG PIKACHU Plush Key Chain” featuring Pikachu in a dangdut costume will also be produced. The item will be available through upcoming giveaway campaigns and selected collaboration events.
In addition, Happy Asmara and Gilga Sahid will perform a duet version of “Kopi Dangdut ~ver. Goyang HEPIKA~” on the RC Music YouTube channel. The exclusive performance video is scheduled to premiere on June 13 at 7:00 PM.
