Bingkai Karya – Contemporary musician Aku Jeje officially releases his latest single, “Maria”, today. The song introduces a unique blend of Samba and Jazz, marking a fresh musical direction in his artistic journey following the success of his viral #MendewasakanLagu series across various digital platforms.
Through “Maria”, Aku Jeje tells the story of a beautiful love that was never meant to last. The song captures both the sweetness and sadness of a relationship separated by differences, yet one that remains meaningful and worth remembering.
Featuring soft Bossa Nova inspired vocals and warm Samba rhythms, “Maria” creates a romantic, elegant, and emotionally rich atmosphere. This distinctive sound reflects a new musical identity that Jeje describes as “tropical-noir”. Speaking about the single, Aku Jeje shared, “This song is a celebration of a love that may not last forever, but is still meaningful and beautiful to experience.” The message is further reflected in one of the song’s key lyrics: “Just call it love, it will remain beautifully painted even if only for a while.”
Alongside the release of “Maria”, Aku Jeje is also scheduled to perform the song live for the very first time at the Java Jazz Festival, taking place from May 29–31, 2026, in Jakarta. The performance is part of his broader musical journey this year, including preparations for his upcoming album ‘14’, which is scheduled for release in August 2026. “Maria” is now available on all major digital streaming platforms starting May 29, 2026.
