Bingkai Karya – After introducing listeners to the carefree and sparkling vibes of “CHAMPAGNE FLYING”, Thai artist VARITDA returns with “SLOW BURNER”, the second track from her upcoming album, ‘CHAMPAGNE CHERRY’, a project that blends contemporary pop R&B with elegant jazz touches through internationally acclaimed production.
Released under Melodic Corner, a label under Music Move Co., Ltd., ‘CHAMPAGNE CHERRY’ represents VARITDA’s boldest artistic direction yet: emotionally intimate, musically sophisticated, and meticulously crafted with collaborators from around the world. Every stage of production, from songwriting and recording to mixing and mastering, was executed with meticulous attention to detail.
This journey begins with “CHAMPAGNE FLYING”, a feel-good anthem about gracefully recovering from heartbreak and celebrating the freedom that comes afterward. Wrapped in pop R&B tones enhanced by hip-hop rhythms, retro soul textures, and touches of contemporary jazz, the song introduces the album’s sparkling character with confidence and charm.
Now, the story deepens with “SLOW BURNER”, a song that embraces patience, emotional tension, and the beauty of letting love grow naturally. Built on a laid-back groove, subtle layers of instrumentation, and the intimate energy of a late night, the song captures the feeling of choosing connection over rushing, where each moment feels long enough to leave a lasting impression. Remaining rooted in R&B pop with hints of jazz, “SLOW BURNER” showcases a softer, more emotional side of the album.
At its core, ‘CHAMPAGNE CHERRY’ explores the theme of ‘Confession’, the process of slowly opening up one’s emotions and innermost being. The album uses the metaphor of a cherry in a glass of champagne: slowly absorbing its surroundings, softening over time, and ultimately revealing a richer, more honest version of itself. In the same way, the project explores how people slowly open up when the time, atmosphere, and emotions feel right.
Beyond the music, both “CHAMPAGNE FLYING” and “SLOW BURNER” also feature visually powerful fashion film-style music videos, expanding the storytelling through symbolism, mood, and cinematic aesthetics. Further elevating the project is the involvement of a world-class creative team. British producer Nick Tsang, who has worked with the Backstreet Boys, Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX, and Jess Glynne on the 5x Platinum hit “Take Me Home”, played a key role in shaping the album’s musical tone. The project also involved renowned engineers Charlie Holmes (Mixing Engineer) and Simon Francis (Mastering Engineer), best known for their work on Olivia Dean‘s album, The Art of Loving.
All songs on ‘CHAMPAGNE CHERRY’ were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, the legendary studio where The Beatles created some of the most influential works in modern music history.
