Bingkai Karya – Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI) and Indonesia’s leading independent music label, Sun Eater Group, have officially launched LUNAR.

The collaboration is built on a shared vision to discover, develop, and elevate artists who push the boundaries of genre. Marking its debut, LUNAR introduces its inaugural roster of three emerging Indonesian talents: Kecoud, Alee, and Nandoshi.

To further expand the reach of Indonesian music across the region, LUNAR offers an ecosystem that empowers artists to grow without compromising their creative identity. Through this partnership, artists gain direct access to Sony Music’s global distribution network and marketing capabilities while continuing to benefit from Sun Eater Group’s artist-first approach, hyperlocal marketing strategies, and community-driven artist development.

Sun Eater Group is a music and creative company dedicated to shaping Indonesian youth culture through the development of innovative artist identities. Through acts such as Hindia, Lomba Sihir, and Feast, Sun Eater has established a strong track record of cultivating culturally relevant artists and works, successfully bridging the spirit of independent music with the reach of the mainstream industry.

Muhammad Soufan (Munna), General Manager of Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, said, “Indonesia is now home to one of the world’s most dynamic and digitally engaged music communities. Together with Sun Eater Group, we created LUNAR to combine Sony’s global reach with an authentic, community-rooted approach to creative curation. Kecoud, Alee, and Nandoshi embody the genre-defying spirit that has been at the heart of LUNAR from the very beginning, and we are incredibly excited to embark on this collaboration.”

Kukuh Rizal Arfianto, Founder & CEO of Sun Eater Group, added, “LUNAR was born from our desire to create a progressive space that also values the artistic growth of its musicians. Our collaboration with Sony Music feels like a natural fit because we share the same artist-first DNA. Together, we want to offer musicians the best of both worlds: the honesty and agility of an independent label, combined with Sony’s global capabilities as a leader in the music industry.”

Kecoud, whose music is deeply rooted in the culture of East Java, shared that the opportunity to grow alongside people who genuinely believe in his vision means everything to him. Meanwhile, Alee hopes that her voice will “reach farther than I ever imagined.” Nandoshi added, “I want my music to make people feel understood and create a genuine emotional connection. I’m also excited to dream bigger with LUNAR while staying true to who I am as an artist.”

Indonesia has firmly established itself as one of the world’s fastest-growing media and entertainment markets, driven by rapid digital adoption and a highly engaged Generation Z population.
