Bingkai Karya — Indonesian artist Bennett A.K. returns with “Get Back,” the fourth single from his upcoming EP, Choices, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Blending trap, cinematic, and orchestral elements, the track delivers a powerful message about perseverance, humility, and the courage to rise again when life becomes difficult.
While his previous single, “Ganto,” explored answering a calling in life, “Get Back” shifts the focus to endurance. The song speaks to those navigating their toughest moments, comparing life’s struggles to a boxing match in which every setback becomes another reason to keep fighting.
The concept originated from the image of a boxing coach motivating a fighter from the corner of the ring. Inspired by films such as Rocky, Creed, and Southpaw, Bennett A.K. wanted to capture the discipline, sacrifice, and determination required to make it through the final round. To prepare for the recording session at Passion Vibe Compound, he revisited scenes from Creed to embody the song’s intensity.
“Get Back” reframes failure as part of the journey toward success. In the verse, the line “2 Ls make a W” illustrates how losses can become building blocks for future victories. Bennett A.K. also explores personal growth through the lyrics, challenging the assumption that change is necessarily negative.
“Sometimes the pressure in life doesn’t come from one major event, but from small things that keep piling up,” Bennett A.K. explains. “It can happen in many aspects of life: finances, character, career, and relationships. Yet we still choose to rise amid all of it.”
Beyond its fighting spirit, the song carries a personal dimension rooted in faith. Bennett A.K. interprets the lyric “Close to the sun but ain’t falling like I’m Icarus” through the wordplay between sun and Son, referring to Jesus Christ. Rather than associating closeness to the sun with pride and downfall, he presents faith and humility as foundations for personal growth.
Musically, “Get Back” is the most cinematic track Bennett A.K. has created to date. Its fusion of trap, orchestral textures, and cinematic production evokes the intensity of boxing and action films. Belanegara Abe returns as the producer and co-writer alongside Bennett A.K., while Cuurley from Malaysia handles the mixing, continuing their cross-border collaboration.
The track also reflects the broader theme of Choices, an upcoming EP built around the decisions that shape personal identity and determine who people become. For Bennett A.K., the ability to keep dreaming remains essential to moving forward.
