Bingkai Karya – Continuing her journey of creating music that resonates with the emotional experiences of young listeners, Eltasya introduces her latest single, “Merayu Waktu.” The song explores the complicated feelings of regret, hope, and the desire to repair a relationship that has already come to an end. Through its relatable narrative, Eltasya invites listeners to reflect on the moments when they wish they could turn back time and make different choices.
“Merayu Waktu” tells the story of someone who still wishes to reverse time to correct past mistakes that led to the departure of someone they love. Despite the weight of regret, the song also captures the human tendency to hold on to hope, even when reality offers little possibility of returning to the way things once were.
According to Eltasya, the song’s emotional appeal lies in an experience that many people may have encountered in their own lives. “I think its relatability comes from a feeling that many people have experienced: hoping that something could go back to the way it was, even though reality does not always allow that,” she shared.
Interestingly, “Merayu Waktu” came into Eltasya’s hands through an unexpected encounter. Initially, she only intended to visit a recording studio. However, during that visit, she was introduced to the song for the first time. Its material immediately caught her attention, leading her to decide to perform it.
“At first, I only planned to visit the studio, but unexpectedly, I was offered this song. When I heard it for the first time, I immediately liked it and decided to perform it,” Eltasya recalled.
The single also presents a different emotional direction compared to her previous releases. While her earlier works explored various emotional dynamics within relationships, “Merayu Waktu” takes a deeper look at regret and the desire to undo something that has already happened. This perspective gives the song its own character within Eltasya’s musical journey.
Her consistency in presenting emotionally driven songs reflects her commitment to creating music that connects with everyday experiences. Moving forward, Eltasya hopes to continue exploring her musical identity and delivering more songs that resonate with listeners from different walks of life.
“I definitely want to keep creating music and exploring my musicality. I also hope to bring songs that feel closer to people’s lives and emotions,” she added.
