Bingkai Karya — Indonesian electronic music trio Weird Genius, consisting of Reza “YB” Oktovian, Eka Gustiwana, and Roy Leonard (RoyCDC), introduces its debut album, ‘ALBUM.’, a 19-track project that brings together a decade of musical exploration and creative development. Released as a reflection of the trio’s musical foundation, the album represents their commitment to continuously creating, experimenting, and exploring new possibilities.

The title ‘ALBUM.’, complete with a period at the end, carries a straightforward meaning. After years of releasing individual singles, Weird Genius brings its musical foundation together for the first time in an album format. Rather than simply collecting previously established sounds, the project offers a broader perspective on music, life experiences, and the creative directions the trio hopes to pursue.

At its core, ‘ALBUM.’ reflects on the pressure of measuring life through achievements, career progress, and personal goals. Weird Genius addresses these expectations through a message about maintaining curiosity, embracing new experiences, and having the courage to change direction when something feels worth pursuing. This perspective also reflects the trio’s creative process, in which songwriting and production remain closely guided by their own ideas without excessive external interference.

The album’s visual identity draws inspiration from the dandelion, whose lightweight seeds travel with the wind. The imagery represents how Weird Genius’ music moves across national borders, genres, and cultures, carrying the potential to grow wherever it lands. It also symbolizes the resilience, endurance, and adaptability that have shaped the trio’s musical journey.

Bringing together a diverse range of musical backgrounds, ‘ALBUM.’ features collaborations with Jessy Alexa, Danilla Riyadi, Cosmo Kent, Novia Bachmid, Trust Orchestra, Pepita, Kamga, Bloodlyne, Guraisu, and Emily Sie, alongside former Weird Genius members Billy Taner and Gerald Liu.

Among its 19 tracks, four standout selections highlight the album’s creative range: “Metronome” featuring Jessy Alexa, “Mother” featuring Pepita, “Satu” featuring Billy Taner and Cosmo Kent, and “Lantai 4” featuring Danilla Riyadi. Together, these tracks offer a glimpse into the project’s diverse musical character, creative strengths, and personal storytelling.

Through ‘ALBUM.’, Weird Genius invites listeners to embrace exploration rather than remain confined by expectations. The album is now available on all digital streaming platforms (DSPs), with its premiere performance scheduled to be broadcast via live streaming on Weird Genius’ official account on October 30, 2026.
