Teddy Adhitya, an Ambonese singer-songwriter has just released his new single “Seperti Setiap Hari” which will be his first song for 2023 and will mark a new phase in his musical career.
It becomes a new phase for Teddy because in “Seperti Setiap Hari”, Teddy sings music that is quite different from his previous songs. No longer sounding gloomy, he comes with a cheerful package, R&B music that is not simple but also not complicated, and the most important thing is that he sings in Indonesian.
Teddy said that as an Ambonese child, it was his dream to make an Indonesian album. One of his intentions in making this album was to bring back the pride he felt as an Ambonese child when he was little.
Apart from being an exploration of language changes, the writing of the lyrics also brought Teddy to another phase. The lyrics for “Seperti Setiap Hari” was made in a freestyle manner, following the melody and music that had been worked on earlier. The main theme itself is specific about hopeless romantic situations in love relationships.

Teddy explains how hopelessly romantic he is, at the end of the song he remains realistic. In the lyrics, he points out that even if someone assures their partner that they will be fine with sweet promises and anything more, in the end they are only human. They made a mistake and apologized for it.
The upcoming release of Teddy’s new album is exactly seven years after the release of his first single “In Your Wonderland” in 2016. The reason is that scientifically, seven years is the time span in which humans do cell turnover. This became a reference for the time as well as a method for Teddy to treat his future works.
