Peggy Gou Started The Sound Of Summer With “(It Goes Like) Nanana”

Peggy Gou, artist, producer, DJ and cultural icon, is back with new music for the first time in nearly two years with the song “(It Goes Like) Nanana”. This newest song began as the sound of summer, which also soundtracks sunrises and sunsets around the world.

“(It Goes Like) Nanana” is inspired from the classic pop and electro house music that defined the Balearic sound, alongside the anthems of the 90s and 2000s and was released through XL Recordings, and at the same time became the label’s first release.

Talking about the single, Peggy said there was a feeling we all know but hard to describe. Like, the feeling of love, warmth, and joy when you are surrounded by friends and loved ones and the energy speaks for itself. “(It Goes Like) Nanana” features Peggy herself on vocals, and is the first song released from her highly anticipated debut album.

Peggy first performed the song to great fanfare at the closing of London’s iconic Printworks. She said that London and England have always been special places for him. This became the city where she found his love of music and a place that always gave her a lot of support. It would be an honor to close Printworks and the perfect place for the song to debut.
