Lizzo also unveiled an official widescreen music video directed by Colin Tilley to accompany the song’s release. In the video, Lizzo is seen recovering from heartbreak while on a night out with her friends, only to realize that they slowly transform into an unsettling faceless crowd.
This track marks Lizzo’s first solo release in three years since 2022 and signals the arrival of her fifth full-length LP, one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2025, Love In Real Life.
“Love In Real Life” showcases Lizzo in full force, once again evolving fearlessly and diving into a rock ‘n’ roll sound like never before. The song opens with a soft-spoken intro before transitioning into airy guitars and breezy rhythms, highlighted by her unmistakable vocal delivery. As the song builds, wild riffs and groovy beats underscore an undeniably free-spirited and catchy chorus, where she playfully invites, “Baby come over here, I need love in real life.” The visuals amplify this energy, elevating it to a whole new level.
To celebrate the start of this new chapter, Lizzo will perform three intimate fan shows next month. She will take the stage at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 12, Irving Plaza in New York on March 16, and First Avenue in Minneapolis on March 18. Pre-sale tickets are available today HERE.
