Bingkai Karya – The Istanbul Youth Summit 2025, organized by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB), marks a significant milestone in supporting the principles of diversity and sustainability. One of the key highlights reflecting this commitment was the Parade of Nations, an event showcasing the cultural diversity of 125 young delegates from 16 different countries. This parade became a true symbol of the “Collaboration in Diversity” spirit championed by the summit, demonstrating that cultural differences are a strength that drives more harmonious global cooperation.
In this context, YBB, as the event organizer, reaffirmed its commitment to preserving diversity as a core value that must be maintained and celebrated. As part of YBB’s vision, the Istanbul Youth Summit 2025 created a platform for young people from various backgrounds to understand each other, learn together, and collaborate in building a more inclusive, sustainable, and just world.
A key moment in the event was the signing of the Integrity Pact by 17 groups competing with their social project ideas on sustainability. This Integrity Pact signifies the participants’ commitment to fully supporting sustainability principles in daily life, ensuring that every action taken aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Integrity Pact signed by these 17 groups includes the following commitments:
1.Recognizing the importance of intergenerational justice, which grants each generation the right to live on Earth in a state that benefits future generations.
2.Acknowledging the principles outlined in the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, considering the environmental impact of every action.
3.Recognizing the principles set out in the 1972 Stockholm Declaration established by the United Nations.
4.Supporting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations for 2030 to achieve a better life.
5.Understanding that every individual has equal rights and responsibilities to protect a healthy and sustainable environment.
6.Understanding the rights and obligations to support environmental management in line with sustainability principles.
7.Taking proactive actions to prevent serious environmental damage that cannot be undone, for the sake of environmental sustainability.
8.Preserving the environment in every action and behavior to strengthen the resilience of a healthy environment.
9.Participating in national and international activities that support environmental sustainability.
10.Raising environmental awareness within communities to foster a collective consciousness regarding the importance of environmental conservation.
This Integrity Pact was signed by Aldi Subakti, the Chairman of the Istanbul Youth Summit 2025, who emphasized that this event is not only an international forum but also an initiative to promote real actions in supporting sustainability and building a better future for generations to come.
