Bingkai Karya – Closing the year with a powerful emotional statement, Indonesian alternative rock band for Revenge marks a new chapter in their musical journey with the release of their fifth studio album, Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 2. The album serves as a continuation of Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 1, released in 2022, completing a long form narrative about loss, grief, and the process of rising again.
Developed over an extended period since 2023 and first introduced through the single “Sadrah” in 2024, the album features 14 tracks that explore a deeper emotional phase. According to vocalist Boniex Nur, this installment represents acceptance. “If the previous album was about loss, this one invites listeners into the phase of acceptance. We bring a glimpse of light amid the tragic stories we experience. It also reinforces our ongoing message of ‘celebrating heartbreak’,” he explains.
For this album, for Revenge did not walk alone. Several collaborators join the project, with three previously released singles featuring Wira Nagara on “Kala Luka Berpesta,” Elsa Japasal on “Menunggu Giliran,” and Stand Here Alone on “Untuk Kau yang Di Sana (UKYDS).” Two additional collaborations debut on the album, featuring Vicky Mono of DeadSquad and pop collective Lomba Sihir, both chosen for their personal connection and musical compatibility with the band.
Boniex shares that Vicky Mono’s involvement was rooted in long standing personal ties within the Bandung music scene. “He is a senior figure for us and someone we’ve known personally for years. The anger filled character of ‘Bernama Karma’ felt perfectly aligned with his presence.” Meanwhile, the collaboration with Lomba Sihir emerged from a desire to bring a more celebratory tone to “Selamat Merayakan.” What began as a shared stage moment eventually evolved into a full creative collaboration.
Three years after Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 1, Boniex expresses both relief and satisfaction with the completion of this sequel. Despite delays from its original 2023 release plan, the album maintains a strong narrative thread while showcasing significant musical growth. While labeled as “Babak 2,” the album stands on its own and remains accessible to new listeners, though those who explore both chapters will experience a more complete emotional journey.
Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 2 also marks for Revenge’s first full length album released under Sony Music Indonesia, signaling a new phase in the band’s career since their formation in 2006. The album will be available on all digital streaming platforms starting December 11, 2025.
