The song marks his first musical release since stepping away on January 1, 2025, a decision made to focus on family life and embrace his role as a father to his daughter, Kinasih Menyusuri Bumi.
Announced at the end of 2025, the comeback reaffirmed that Fiersa’s hiatus was never a publicity move. True to his word, he returned to the stage in early 2026 and followed it with the release of “Tulang Punggung,” a song that reflects quiet resilience and unwavering responsibility.
“Tulang Punggung,” which translates to “Backbone,” is written and composed by Fiersa himself. The song serves as a reminder of the countless individuals who work relentlessly pushing through exhaustion and hardship to provide happiness and stability for their families. Despite the harsh realities of the world, the song highlights perseverance, dignity, and the strength found in love and responsibility.
Fiersa shared that the recording process for “Tulang Punggung” was completed in a single full day, followed by the music production process with his team. While the song carries emotional weight, its creation was rooted in simplicity and sincerity.

The single’s visual artwork features a drawing created by Fiersa’s daughter, Kinasih Menyusuri Bumi, affectionately called “Neng.” While there was no specific conceptual meaning behind choosing her artwork, Fiersa explained that seeing his daughter’s creative growth brought him happiness. For a father, every piece of a child’s work carries a special significance.
Beyond the audio release, “Tulang Punggung” will also be accompanied by an official music video, set to premiere on Fiersa Besari’s personal YouTube channel. As for a new album, Fiersa revealed that there are currently no concrete plans in the near future, allowing the focus to remain on the present moment and the stories he wishes to tell now.
