Bingkai Karya – The name Eltasya Natasha may still be relatively new in the Indonesian music scene, but for fans of talent shows, the voice of this young woman, born on July 6, 2000, is already familiar. Now, this young soloist is ready to expand her career under Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI) by releasing her debut single, “Terpatri.”
It didn’t take long for Tasya to choose her debut song, she admitted she instantly fell in love with it the moment she sang it. “Out of the several songs offered, I felt the vibe was right and comfortable when I tried ‘Terpatri,’ which is why the song, created by Kak David, Kak Dewangga, Kak Trakast, and Kak Andre Lizt, was chosen as my first single under SMEI. The entire process, from start to finish, took about a month, quite fast because I already felt connected and in sync with the song. So, it didn’t take long from the workshop, recording, mixing, to finally being ready for release,” she revealed.
Titled “Terpatri,” Tasya explains that the single tells the story of a relationship that has ended but remains deeply remembered. “‘Terpatri’ means ‘firmly embedded,’ so this song is about a couple who have separated, but one person still feels a profound sense of loss and cannot forget their loved one. I believe the song carries a universal message, not just about losing a romantic partner but also about missing family, friends, or other loved ones. I hope that anyone who listens, especially those who might be going through a similar experience, can feel the song’s meaning deeply in their hearts,” she shared.
A fan of singers like Adele and Olivia Rodrigo, Tasya feels a significant difference between “Terpatri” and her previous singles before joining SMEI. “Besides learning new things with the help of Kak Barsena Bestandhi as the vocal director, this song is also accompanied by a full band, making it very different from my previous singles. Additionally, I feel that ‘Terpatri’ needs to be sung with the right emotions so that the feelings I experience can be conveyed to the listeners. Finding the right melody and improvisation for this song was also a challenging part. However, thanks to the support from the SMEI team, I was able to go through the recording process smoothly,” she shared.
In her free time, Tasya enjoys working out, watching movies, and cooking. She hopes that her debut single with SMEI will be a stepping stone for her future works to gain wider recognition. “Joining Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia is definitely a dream come true for me. Here, I can learn many new things while continuing to create music that entertains and brings something fresh to the Indonesian music industry. I hope ‘Terpatri’ will open the door for that. I am excited to keep creating with SMEI and to release more singles that will be loved and enjoyed by Indonesian music lovers,” Tasya concluded.
