Bingkai Karya – Global superstar, two-time GRAMMY® Award winner, and record-breaker Sabrina Carpenter begins a bold new chapter with her single “Manchild” via Island Records, and officially announces the title of her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend, set to be released on August 29, 2025. Sabrina wrote “Manchild” alongside her longtime collaborator Amy Allen and reunited with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Jack Antonoff for the track. Both Amy and Jack had previously worked with Sabrina on her 2024 album Short n’ Sweet.
This new single and era follow a groundbreaking year for Sabrina, who achieved unmatched success. In August, she released her breakthrough album Short n’ Sweet, which topped charts globally and became one of the biggest global debuts of 2024. Following its release, the album’s lead track “Taste” reached #1 on the U.S. Spotify chart, overtaking Sabrina’s own “Please Please Please,” making it the third track from the album to hit #1. Short n’ Sweet also became the first album with four Pop Airplay No. 1 singles since Taylor Swift. Additionally, the album’s three hit singles—“Espresso” (2.2 billion), “Please Please Please” (1.4 billion), and “Taste” (1 billion)—were all inducted into Spotify’s coveted Billions Club.
The album as a whole earned Sabrina her first-ever GRAMMY® nominations, receiving six in total, and she took home two awards: “Best Pop Vocal Album” for Short n’ Sweet and “Best Pop Solo Performance” for the lead single “Espresso.” She made her GRAMMY debut performing a medley of her hit singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” Following the GRAMMYs, Sabrina released Short n’ Sweet (Deluxe), featuring five additional songs, including a duet with global icon Dolly Parton on “Please Please Please” and the track “Busy Woman,” which Sabrina debuted live during her sold-out arena tour.
On a global scale, Sabrina made history as the first female artist to hold the top three spots on the UK Singles Chart simultaneously with “Taste,” “Please Please Please,” and “Espresso.” She also set a new record for the most weeks at #1 by a female artist in a single year on the Official UK Singles Chart, with 21 weeks at the top. Adding to her unprecedented achievements, she became the first international artist to receive the Global Success Award at The BRITs.
This fall, Sabrina returns for the second sold-out North American leg of her highly acclaimed Short n’ Sweet Tour, kicking off on October 23 in Pittsburgh and hitting major arenas in New York, Nashville, Toronto, and Los Angeles. She will perform five nights at Madison Square Garden in New York and six nights at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where the tour will conclude on November 23. This leg follows a highly successful first North American run of 33 sold-out dates, which ended last November, and a sold-out European leg that added extra shows in four cities due to high demand.
Last month, Sabrina attended her third MET Gala wearing Louis Vuitton. She also appeared on SNL earlier this year for their 50th Anniversary Special, where she performed “Homeward Bound” with Paul Simon and starred in a new version of fan-favorite sketch “Domingo.” She made her SNL debut as the musical guest for last season’s finale in May. Most recently, she graced the cover of American Vogue for the very first time.
