Bingkai Karya – While the end of a relationship may be painful, there’s always the possibility that another love will find you even if it makes you wonder how special your previous romance really was. That’s the message in Reality Club’s newest single “You’ll Find Lovers Like You and Me”. Written by Faiz Novascotia Saripudin and produced by Brad Oberhofer, Reality Club and Wisnu Ikhsantama, the melancholic indie pop song will be available on digital stream platforms from June 27, 2025 and follows previous release “Quick! Love!” in ushering the Jakarta-based quartet of vocalist and guitarist Faiz, vocalist Fathia Izzati, drummer Era Patigo and bassist Nugi Wicaksono’s upcoming fourth album later this year
‘You’ll Find Lovers Like You and Me’ is a melancholic song that contemplates the nature of relationships after the end of one. When one relationship ends no matter how special it was, someday you will find another love and so will they. This profound thought is both a good and a bad thing, because on the one hand no matter how much it hurts you will find love again. But on the other, what does that say about the specialness of a relationship?” says Faiz. “It was inspired by the thought of a fading relationship I was in. I had a vision of a date with my significant other where we’re trying to have a pleasant day but the end of the relationship was already lingering. I think I was inspired by some scenes from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.”
“You’ll Find Lovers Like You and Me” was one of the songs that came about during Reality Club’s May 2024 writing sessions in Ubud, Bali and became an instant hit for several members of the band. “What’s funny is at first Faiz wasn’t sure about the song because it’s pretty straightforward with no tempo changes and the chords are quite the same. But Nugi and I on the other hand were like, ‘Yes! This is it!’” says Fathia. “I’ve always wanted a Reality Club song like this, and we finally made it happen.”
The song found further love when Reality Club brought it to life during their March 2025 recording sessions at Tree Recording Studio in Bangkok, Thailand with producers Brad Oberhofer and Wisnu Ikhsantama who also worked on “Quick! Love!”. “This is another song which Brad put his touch on, and I think he did tremendously well in both keeping the essence of the song and putting fresh ideas during the production,” says Nugi.
Besides the four members of Reality Club, the recording of “You’ll Find Lovers Like You and Me” also features contributions by Gerry Roithart on electric and acoustic guitars, Upi Maajid on synthesizers, and Brad Oberhofer on synthesizers and theremin, resulting in a track that feels hopeful and devastating at the same time. According to Era, “Personally, I think this song has a lot of magic in it. I don’t know why, but the arrangement, lyrics and instruments just seem to hypnotize you and draw you into the song.”
In all, “You’ll Find Lovers Like You and Me” is a great companion piece to “Quick! Love!” in its contrasting theme and mood that will surely resonate with listeners going through their own heartache. “We chose it as our second single because we felt it would be a good follow-up after the quirky ‘Quick! Love!’ to show another side of the upcoming album. And we all really love this song,” says Faiz. “I hope listeners can feel the melancholia of the song and have the same profound thought that I did. I’m still unsure of what it all means but I know that at the very least through the heartbreak you will find love again, so keep your head up and keep giving your all in your relationships.”
