Indonesian music lover was surprised by the departure of one member of HIVI!, named Ezra. But apart from the loss both of the band and Ezra himself, HIVI! didn’t stop at all. They just announced that they just released a remake song titled “Negeri Di Awan”, a song that was originally sung by Katon Bagaskara. The classic remade song was released on September 29th.
The fact is, “Negeri Di Awan” is the first single of the whole project. The song is a song that was originally released in 1994 inside Katon Bagaskara first and self titled album. In the remake version of “Negeri Di Awan”, HIVI! didn’t forget to bring their colors in music into the song without getting rid of the original characteristics of the song, giving the classic song a new touch, modern and very easy-listening.

“Negeri Di Awan” was created with my older brother, Andre Manika. This song tells about the admiration for someone with a soft heart, tells the story of a utopia full of peace,” Katon Bagaskara, the original singer of the song, explained briefly.
Besides explaining the meaning behind the song, Katon also expressed his gratitude feeling that they both got the chance to have a collaboration. He hopes that the remake of “Negeri Di Awan” can be enjoyed by listeners all across Indonesia. It was an honor for Katon to get his song remade by a band with a colorful style of music.
The remake of “Negeri Di Awan” by HIVI! Is now available on all digital streaming platforms. “Negeri Di Awan” is the opening song of the EP “Kinarya Lintas Sebrang”.
