Bingkai Karya – February 24 is set to be an unforgettable day for Sisca Saras. Coinciding with her 26th birthday, the former JKT48 member is ready to release her fifth single, “Katanya Cinta.” Although the song had been around since 2024, it was only in 2025 that it was chosen to become Sisca’s fifth official release. She revisited and reworked the song together with its songwriter, Clara Riva. “This song actually became one of the options when I was about to release a single some time ago, but it wasn’t chosen and ended up being saved,” Sisca explained. “Then, when we were looking for a song for my fifth release, we immediately remembered “Katanya Cinta”. Clara and I listened to it again and made slight changes to the lyrics together, but we kept the melody exactly as it was when Clara first wrote it.”
“Katanya Cinta” tells the story of a relationship that has to end because both parties end up hurting each other. According to the soloist, whose full name is Fransisca Saraswati Puspa Dewi, if a relationship feels torturous for both sides, there is no point in holding on any longer, as it will only deepen the wounds. Sisca also admitted that the song’s theme posed a personal challenge for her when it came to singing it. “For me, singing sad songs is harder than singing happy ones, and I feel like this is my saddest song so far,” she shared. “Even so, I really didn’t want to pour out excessive emotion. The challenge was to sing it with just the right amount of feeling. So you could say I sang this song very carefully because I was afraid of crying,” Sisca said candidly.
Through “Katanya Cinta,” Sisca delivers an important message to listeners: a healthy relationship is one that does not cause suffering to either party. Forcing feelings will not change the situation and may only end up hurting oneself. “If a relationship already feels painful, don’t force it,” she said. “You could end up driving yourself crazy. Look for an equal kind of love, because a healthy relationship is one that makes us feel calm not chased, not anxious about anything.”
Released on her birthday, the soloist born in 2000 hopes that “Katanya Cinta” will mark the end of a melancholy phase in her life. More than that, she wishes the song can be a blessing for many people. “My hope is that “Katanya Cinta” can bring something good to everyone involved in making this song, especially since it’s released on my birthday,” she said. “I hope that with this new age comes new blessings, that I can keep creating new works, and that there will be no more feelings of sadness.”
As her fifth single released under WeCord Evermore Indonesia, Sisca reflected on her musical journey so far and shared her hopes for the future. “I’m truly touched and deeply grateful to be part of WeCord Evermore Indonesia and to have released five singles that have been positively received by my listeners,” she said. “Going forward, I hope I can continue creating, always give my best especially for my listeners. I’m ready to present new works in 2026, supported by amazing people beside me. Not behind me, but beside me. May God bless my music career.”
As a form of gratitude for her 26th birthday and her achievements as a solo artist, Sisca also shared her wish to give something back to her loyal listeners this year. “I hope I can hold a showcase or a solo concert, and eventually have an album as a way to say thank you to my fans,” she concluded. “The point is, this year I want to sing more often for the people who have supported me.”
Sisca Saras’ latest single, “Katanya Cinta,” will be available on digital music platforms starting February 24, 2026.
