Breaking Free: The Lantis Drops Fan-Picked Single ‘Teruntuk Dirimu’ for Everyone Moving On from Toxic Love

Bingkai KaryaThe Lantis officially releases their latest single, “Teruntuk Dirimu”, today. The song serves as a heartfelt letter to exes who were toxic, manipulative, or simply left you wondering why you were ever in the relationship in the first place.

“It’s like an open letter to that ex. Not to get back together, but to say: enough, thank you, goodbye,” said Giri, vocalist and bassist of The Lantis, in a written press statement on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Before its official release, “Teruntuk Dirimu” was first “tested” in front of fans during a series of showcase events, The Lantis hosted by Undbodevan, across three cities, as well as in various live performances. During these moments, The Lantis teased two unreleased tracks and asked fans to choose their favorite.

In mid-July at Salihara, the band held an intimate performance where they played both songs in full for the first time. The trio: Giri (bass/vocals), Ravi (guitar/vocals), and Ojan (guitar), invited around 20 selected fans to vote on which track should be released first. The winning choice? “Teruntuk Dirimu.”

“We’re truly grateful to the Lantis Family (our fanbase) for always being there throughout our journey, which is still relatively new. That’s why we wanted them to have a say in this release,” the band members shared.

The celebration didn’t stop there. On release day, The Lantis reunited with fans at Bagi Kopi Kemang Utara for an acoustic performance of the track. Fans were also invited to “let go” of items from their exes as a symbolic gesture of moving on.

The creative process behind “Teruntuk Dirimu” once again involved Rendy Pandugo and Giant Prayash in songwriting, with Vega Antares as vocal director. The visualizer, released the same day on The Lantis’ YouTube channel, features small, intimate relationship moments, like footsteps, kitchen conversations, or the way someone wraps a pinky during a promise, without showing any faces. “We wanted the visualizer to highlight these little details. Even without facial expressions, the imagery tells a story almost like a curse to that ex,” explained Ojan.

Ravi added the band’s hopes for the song: “We want this track to be a companion for anyone going through a similar story. Hopefully, it becomes a symbol of closure and celebration because not every relationship is meant to be, and not every wound leaves a sweet memory.”

With two studio albums under their belt Pilot (2021) and Pancarona (2024), The Lantis continues to evolve and strengthen their bond with listeners through music that grows alongside them. Listen to “Teruntuk Dirimu” now on all digital streaming platforms, and stay tuned for what’s next.
