Leading up to the release of ‘Piss In The Wind’, Joji shared a dynamic series of singles that highlighted the expansive range of sounds within his new era. From the emotionally raw “LOVE YOU LESS” to the introspective “Past Won’t Leave My Bed” and the hopeful tone of “If It Only Gets Better”, each track revealed a different layer of his artistry. He further amplified the momentum with “PIXELATED KISSES” (Yeat remix), adding a fresh, genre-blurring edge to the original. Together, these releases not only built anticipation for the album but also showcased Joji’s ability to seamlessly move between vulnerability and bold experimentation, reminding listeners why his evolution continues to captivate a global audience.
“PIXELATED KISSES” in particular marked the end of Joji’s years-long music hiatus, signaling a powerful and highly anticipated return. Upon its release, the track generated tens of millions of global streams within hours, reflecting the immense excitement surrounding his comeback. It debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 and later entered the Billboard 200 and Pop charts, further solidifying its commercial impact. The song builds on the momentum of SMITHEREENS (2022), which featured the breakout hit “Glimpse of Us”. That track earned a 2x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and reached No. 1 hit on the Spotify Global 50, becoming one of Joji’s most defining and emotionally resonant releases to date.
