Bingkai Karya- The East Java branch of PT Bank Permata, Tbk completed its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program in Sumberejo Village, Batu on November 23, 2024. In activities attended by Bank Permata executives, the company partnered with BumiBaik, an environmental startup, to plant 100 coffee trees.
Permata Bank Jatim 4 started this environmental action because of its dedication to sustainability.As part of its CSR efforts, Permata Bank aims to positively impact society and support environmental sustainability for future generations, as stated by Ms. Cilfi Prihatini, Executive Branch Manager Jatim 4 – PT Bank Permata, Tbk. Coffee seed selection is based on local farmer recommendations and is believed to yield great economic value upon harvest.
The location, Sumberejo Village, Batu, was chosen because to its biodiversity and importance in environmental conservation, according to Mrs. Cliff Prihatini including water conservation and carbon sequestration. Various factors led to both sides conducting environmental conservation initiatives on a bright weekend. Bank Permata’s dedication to sustainability aligns with the global effort to combat climate change through tree planting. This tiny effort is anticipated to inspire other financial sectors to incorporate environmental responsibility into their operations.
BumiBaik collaborates with organizations and people to calculate carbon footprints using their revolutionary software. “BumiBaik is pleased to partner with Bank Permata in a coffee tree planting program in Batu, Malang. In this action, BumiBaik not only plants trees but also ensures their adoption and care.
