Celebrating its 5th Anniversary, Stephanie Poetri Releases a Bossa Nova Version of Her Hit “I Love You 3000”

Bingkai Karya-Indonesian singer and songwriter Stephanie Poetri, based in Los Angeles, has released a bossa nova version of her hit song “I Love You 3000” in honor of its 5th anniversary. Merging jazz and pop elements, this fresh take on the track marks Stephanie’s first release of 2024.

Stephanie Poetri went back to Indonesia to record this bossa nova version with the live band that often performed with her mother, Titi DJ. The new arrangement gives a fresh, lively twist to the song that helped kickstart Stephanie’s music career.

Stephanie Poetri shared, “This bossa nova version is my way of expressing gratitude to all my fans. They are those who have supported me through the first five years of my career. Hearing stories about ‘I Love You 3000’ being sung at weddings and anniversaries was incredible. This song has touched many lives. With this new arrangement, I hope to delight everyone with a fresh take on it.”

About Stephanie Poetri

Stephanie Poetri was raised in a musically rich family, with her father as a trombonist and marching band coach. Also her mother is a renowned pop diva in the country. Fascinatingly, it was Kygo’s tropical house beats and K-pop that first ignited her passion for music. Initially, she intended to become a tropical house music producer. But after she explored the world of K-pop further, Stephanie finally started to write her own songs. 

In the midst of her music production class, Stephanie began releasing songs on a whim, including “I Love You 3000” which has amassed over 415 million streams globally. She also released “I Love You 3000 II” which also features Jackson Wang. Although Stephanie did not complete her music production class, she has established herself as one of the leading Indonesian musicians of her generation.
