Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, visited China on March 1, 2023. The discussions focused on discussing cooperation between China and Belarus which is considered to have a good impact in various fields for both countries. China and Belarus are both defenders of international fairness and justice. Facing the international situation full of instability and movement, China is willing to work together with Belarus to push for healthy and stable development of relations between the two countries at a higher level.
Belarus is willing to enhance cooperation with China in the fields of science and technology, industry, agriculture and tourism, promote the development of China-Europe railway services and the construction of Belarus-China industrial parks, welcome Chinese enterprises to invest in Belarus, and enhance inter-governmental communications, community and region. Belarus is willing to strengthen coordination with China on key regional and international issues, and work together to maintain regional and international security and stability.
China appreciates Belarus’ support for the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and is ready to work with Belarus to toughen coordination and cooperation at multilateral fora including the United Nations, to jointly respond to global challenges and build a human community with a shared future.
Alexander Lukashenko hopes that the National People’s Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference sessions which will be opened soon will be successful, and expressed confidence that this will have an important influence on the future of China and even the world.
Previously, Vladimir Putin welcomed the arrival of China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi. The two met in Moscow on Wednesday February 22nd 2023. At the meeting, the two countries not only discussed issues of their bilateral partnership, but also discussed the strength of relations between Russia and China. The two countries have deepened cooperation with Russia in various fields, including trade, technology, and security. Putin also pointed out the importance of this partnership in solving global problems and overcoming injustice in the international world.
