The song was born from a simple yet relatable feeling, the exhaustion of work, life’s demands, and those “funny” lectures from your boss. “This song is about people whose minds go blank because of too much work and pressure,” Clara explained. “And then, of course, there’s the boss’s ‘funny’ monologue. So, you just say ‘iya iya iya’ to everything,” she added with a laugh. Through this track, Clara invites listeners not to take life too seriously and to find humor in the little things that often stress us out.
Although the writing process began with confusion “I honestly didn’t know what to write at first!” She admitted “Iya Iya Iya” ended up being one of the most spontaneous and enjoyable songs in Clara Riva’s discography. With a fresh arrangement distinct from her earlier works, Clara and her longtime producer crafted a sound that feels lively, groovy, and unmistakably her. “I was very involved in this song since I’m used to working with the producer, so it really let me pour my thoughts directly into the music,” she said.
Clara hopes the song will lift the spirits of anyone feeling drained by routine. “I just want people to feel re-energized after listening,” she shared. Moving forward, Clara plans to keep having fun with upbeat music proving that sometimes, the best way to face life is simply by saying: “Iya Iya Iya” !
