Corner Club

Bingkai Karya-Indie pop duo corner club is back with their new single, “No Refunds”, a heartfelt indie folk song that feels both personal and wide-reaching. The song highlights their unique mix of storytelling and gentle melodies, all wrapped in the fresh vibe of modern indie pop. They’ve also announced an upcoming EP, “No Refunds,” which will be released on November 15, 2024.

As the title track, “No Refunds” touches on the key themes of the EP, reflecting on past relationships, growing up, and finding your own path. The song tells the story of a relationship through broken promises and failed plans. Capturing the feelings of disappointment when a dream life falls apart.

The upcoming EP will be their third and is highly anticipated. It explores the ups and downs of finding yourself and learning to accept things as they are. Corner club is made up of Savannah Du and Michael Zhang, who met as schoolmates in an a cappella group. Over the years, their creative partnership has grown, turning their casual jam sessions into polished songs.

Since forming in 2018, they’ve gained a global audience, with over 10 million streams and 200k monthly listeners. Their music, produced from their own bedrooms, quickly caught attention. Earlier this year, they performed with Sofar Sounds and outdoor brand Arc’teryx as part of a special campaign. It was cementing their reputation as an exciting new act in indie music.

Their songs have been featured on popular Spotify playlists like Fresh Finds and New Music Friday. Also their second single, “Manhattanhenge”, made it onto Spotify’s Thailand Viral 50. With fans from countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore, they continue to gain momentum in Southeast Asia, solidifying their status as rising stars in indie pop.
