Bingkai Karya – ArumtaLa, a duo-format jazz unit from Jakarta who released their debut single “Masuk Angin” in January, is now releasing their first mini album titled “Bercerita.”
The mini album “Bercerita” contains songs about how Arini and Laura see the world and live their adult lives. It tackles everyday problems such as the fear of ” Masuk angin” (catching a cold) and the fear of ” Keriput (wrinkles).” Stories about the love of hobbies, ” Buaian Taman.” Prayers for loved ones, “Senandung Malam,” to the turmoil of love, “Angan Hampa.”
Through the mini album “Bercerita,” Arini and Laura hope that ArumtaLa’s music can always color and become part of the story of the fans’ daily lives. The “Bercerita” mini album listening session was held intimately on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Creative Hall, M Bloc Space, Jakarta.
ArumtaLa is very interesting. According to Indonesian music activist Igun Sudarmono, “whereas most female musicians stop working after having children, they actually start and intensify their work process after becoming mothers.”
The recording process of “Bercerita ” was done at Studio Aquarius Jakarta. All songs were recorded live and assisted by Sukma Raya as Producer, Anugerah Swastadi as mixing engineer and mastering by Stevano. The artwork for the EP and merchandise Bercerita was done very well by Orkha.id who translated Arumtala’s music into a dynamic form of work. The “Bercerita ” mini album by ArumtaLa can be listened to on all digital streaming platforms starting June 26, 2024, including Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok Music, YouTube Music, and Langit Musik.
