Elon Musk changed Twitter’s legendary blue bird logo with “X”. The new emblem now appears on the background of the desktop version. In addition, posts will be called “x’s” instead of “tweets”.
Previously, on Sunday, Elon Musk announced his plan to change the logo. By Monday morning, he revealed that X.com now redirects to Twitter.com. He also stated the replacement should have been done a long time ago.
The new name and logo were the strategy to revitalize the company’s brand and financial situation. In the preceding months, Musk unveiled Twitter was at risk of going bankrupt. The pressure increased as Meta, the parent company of Facebook, launched its rival social media platform called Threads.

The extremely quick rebranding of Twitter has also raised security worries. Jake Moore, the global cyber adviser at ESET, cautioned about phishing risks due to the company name transition.
Cybercriminals might exploit this opportunity to send deceptive emails with fake links. These emails could trick users into sharing their genuine Twitter credentials without their usual caution.
