Emily Sie Releases Captivating EP ‘all the things I couldn’t say’

Emily Sie, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Indonesia, released her latest EP titled “all the things I couldn’t say” in June 2023. With her captivating pop music and enjoyable lyrics, she has been gaining popularity in the music industry. Starting with covers on her YouTube channel, which now has over 230,000 subscribers and 13 million views, Sie’s love for music began at a young age.

Inspired by artists like NIKI, Norah Jones, and IU, she aims to personally connect with listeners through her music. Emily debuted her original material in 2020 and has already amassed over 3.5 million streams on Spotify.

Currently pursuing her studies at Berklee College of Music, Sie is majoring in Professional Music with a focus on Songwriting and Production. Her dedication to her craft is evident in her upcoming single, which promises to showcase her growth as an artist.

In 2022, Sie returned to songwriting after facing challenges, realizations, and new emotions that have contributed to her development as an artist. After a difficult start in college and adjusting to life far from home, Emily expressed that she started writing these songs as an outlet to express emotions that she couldn’t convey in any other way. She wrote about things she couldn’t say, including her racing thoughts, frustrations, loneliness, regrets, and even the fear of loving someone.

The EP reflects her true self, showcasing not just the best version of Emily but also the worst—a year in her life where she felt scared and vulnerable. She hopes that people going through similar phases in their lives can relate to it and know that they’re not alone.
