Bingkai Karya – Erika de Casier has released her highly anticipated third album, “Still”. The album is a classic de Casier work, her signature blend of lush electronica and moonlit R&B delving further into that one-of-a-kind sound. Her songwriting is masterful and universal, and her skills as a producer have only grown as she’s honed her craft producing for others (Blood Orange, Shygirl, and the aforementioned They Hate Change).
“Still” features the previously released singles “Lucky” and “ice”, which features Tampa rap duo They Hate Change. Erika also brings in new collaborators on the album, working with live musicians in addition to samples. N, the co-producer of her previous albums Essentials (2019) and Sensational (2021), returns here, but he’s joined by Jonathan Jull Ludvigsen, Carl Emil Johansen, Niels Kirk, Christian Rhode Lindinger, Nick León, Kirsten Nyhus Janssen, and Tobias Sachse, adding live drums, synths, guitars, bass, and more.
Praise for “Still”:
“Still is one of the best pop albums of all time.” – Treblezine
“de Casier has made her ambitions clear: she’s ready to occupy a bigger space. With Still, she might just do it.” – Crack Magazine’s Album of the Month
