Everyone Has Experienced A Lowest Point In Life, Reality Club Releases Their Latest Single “Not Today”

Bingkai Karya– Hoffnung kills or saves. Jakarta’s Reality Club‘s “Not Today” was inspired by hope. Drummer Era Patigo wrote the song at his lowest point. “I wrote this song suicidally. I felt depressed and bewildered.”  Era claimed his mentality impairs vision.” Era said. It was 2021. Era’s operations were nearly halted by an epidemic. He sensed a foul temper. He committed more daily. “My head was full of questions.”

Is it today?

Is it tomorrow?

Luckily, Era had help. His family and Reality Club coworkers watched the disaster. Era consulted specialists. Era’s junior high melancholy and suicidal thoughts were exposed via professional counseling Era struggled till college since he didn’t know how.

In college graduation pandemonium, Era considered suicide the only solution. After hardships, Era considered suicide before writing Reality Club songs. Finally, music and hope saved Era.

Era wrote and composed Reality Club’s third album in mid-2021. Era got up and went to his bedside piano while sleeping. The tune flooded her mind. Suddenly, songwriting worked. About 70% of the song structure was completed quickly.

“Because I overthink music. Chord and melody must match.” Era alleges music leaked. Era believes songwriting heals. Life is slow, therefore this doesn’t always work. Era plunged into the black abyss again. Once, Era attempted suicide. Thankfully, Era self-healed after the attempt failed. “I think this song rescued me.”  Era believes the song saved the writer.

After the framework, Era listened to the song with Reality Club members Fathia Izzati (vocals), Faiz Novascotia  Saripudin (guitar, vocals), Nugi Wicaksono (drums), and Iqbal Anggaku Warm, passionate melodies gave tragedy victims hope. “And to be honest, the first time I heard the song, Faiz cried,” Era laughs.

Era filmed her mental health journey with this song. The song begins with melancholy kirana questions. So, “We kiss the floor/we fight/there’s nothing more/can’t see the light.” Era seeks to end violent conflicts. This viewpoint change let her understand suicide is not the best option and tomorrow may be better. Perhaps tomorrow will be bright. “Oh, I was wrong/This ain’t the way.” writes Era. “My final note was personal. Life is difficult, I learned. The fight is huge. Life is lovely and bright. Hope and resolve returned.”

You misunderstand its complexity.

Things small can save men.

Act on your plans.

You’ll see differently.

Era knew a modest hope can kill or save. Baseball, his best friends, and simple pleasures gave his hope.

“From there I feel like there are more reasons to live life,” Era explains. In two days, Soundpole 2.0 and Soundverve studios recorded “Not Today,” which Wisnu Ikhsantama Wicaksana mixed and 11-time Grammy winner Brian Lucey mastered at Magic Garden Mastering Reality Club, Kancatala Ensemble (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass/Baritone), Martha Ivana, Vonny Christiani, and Kristian Wirjad sang this song. This chorus makes “Not Today” warm, close, empathic, intriguing, and amazing.

On Era’s birthday, “Not Today” will be released. Era claims this music may provide everyone comfort. Loyal friend, not Messiah.  Every tale. “I want to be their friend because this song moved me. One soul at a time,”  she said. Depression trumps indifference. See a psychologist, psychiatrist, or jiwa health clinic for self-harm.
